9. SAGITTARIUS

Ninth Sign of the Zodiac.

Mutable Sign of the Fire Triplicity.

Harmonious Sign of the Reproductive Trinity.

I

This jovial, enthusiastic lover of out-door sports, is just and truthful, and even prophetic. Good-natured, he is a happy, springy, philosophical play-boy.

II PRECESSION OF THE EQUINOXES

Sagittarius showered the earth with cosmic rays about 20,000 years ago. It was a period of great marathon events.

They worshipped fire during this age.

The next Sagittarian Age will occur from 6158 to 8315 A.D.

Ill NATURE, CHARACTER and PERSONALITY

This popular play-boy is ready, quick, speedy, open, frank and honest; he is adventurous, imprudent, and undisciplined, but has a strong will-power; he is light-hearted, attractive, loyal and courageous; he learns easily and desires order and neatness.

The above traits are varied by the placement of the Moon, as follows . . .

WITH THE MOON IN ARIES . . . active, enterprising, adventurous, and rebellious.

IN TAURUS . . . sympathetic and just; plans for material and worldly success.

GEMINI . . . excessive activity; lacks balance; cannot remain long in one place, or in one profession; will get an education in spite of all obstacles.

CANCER ... strives for renown; has an interior restlessness, due to the uncertainties of life.

LEO . . . this is highly favorable; prophetic; a leader, with a big heart.

VIRGO . . . has common sense and dignity; a clear, powerful mind, but critical; is highly moral.

LIBRA . . . has many talents; courteous; loves ceremony; gives deference to superiors.

SCORPIO . . . good for occult work; has a bad temper; tends to select doubtful means for success.

SAGITTARIUS . . . many changes in life; is generous and active, but too rebellious and undisciplined, although remaining conservative.

CAPRICORN . . . acts without authority; has organizational ability; is interested in the higher planes and religion.

AQUARIUS . . . peaceful, imaginative; seeks the solution of mysteries; this is good for new enterprises and inventions.

PISCES . . . favorable with a chart of high vibration; otherwise, his prophetic sense turns to quackery.

IV — PHYSICAL

Has a tall, strong body, which is slender in youth, but heavy in middle and old age. His face is oval, his nose is long; often hatchet-faced or horse-faced; his hair is fine, abundant, blond or brown, and tends to recede from the temples, thus becoming bald on top; his head is long, with a high crown; his ears have a protruding anti-helix, which is arrow-pointed; his eyes are blue, brown or hazel; his neck is strong and slender; his complexion is fresh, rosy, with open pores; his hands have long fingers, with large conical nails; his expression is friendly and frank; his movements are springy and light-hearted, with a swinging, free, purposeful walk; he usually sits with his toes turned inward; and he has a voice that is full-toned and announcing in nature.

V — OCCUPATION

He is usually successful, if he will remain faithful to one line or profession; but he often fails, because he tries to do too many things at one time.

He has business and financial ability, but is at his best when working for others, as a manager, a judge, or a pastor.

His sense of independence is too great, and this often injures his destiny.

He is much interested in sports, travel, religion, jurisprudence, philosophy, hospitals, and public institutions, so the following fields will be very interesting for him . . .

astronomer       advertising agent
ambassador      advertising expert
bookmaker       civil engineer
clergyman         ecclesiastical dignitaries

VII HOW SAGITTARIUS MATES WITH OTHER SIGNS

WITH ARIES ... a good match (?). (See Chapter I, page 14).

TAURUS ... not wise. (See Chapter II, page 21).

GEMINI . . . good. (See Chapter III, page 30).

CANCER ... not good. (See Chapter IV, page 38).

LEO . . . very difficult. (See Chapter V, page 45).

VIRGO . . . incompatible. (See Chapter VI, page 54).

LIBRA . . . excellent. (See Chapter VII, page 62). S

CORPIO ... no attraction. (See Chapter VIII, page 70)

SAGITTARIUS ... problematical: both understand each other's deficiencies, like to study and to teach, love sports and the outdoor life; but you never can tell when one will get fed up and call it quits.

CAPRICORN . . . possible, but not easy; Sagittarius' exuberance and lack of discrimination are apt to get on Capricorn's nerves; and Sagittarius might find little to enjoy in Capricorn's matter-of-fact, ambitious outlook on life. Capricorn might envy for awhile, Sagittarius' ease with people, but in the long run he demands results. If Capricorn succeeds in pinning down Sagittarius to some real work, profit could be enjoyed by both, for, practically wedded to vision makes a good team. But it will take a lot of patience and tolerance to make things run smoothly.

AQUARIUS ... a harmonious comradeship: both have a genuine gift for friendship, both like lots of company, and endless discussions of abstract ideas. Sagittarius is the more enthusiastic, but cares little whether the mate tunes in or not; if Aquarius keeps the restraining reins in his own hands, things will run smoothly, for there is a broad streak of practicality in Aquarius, which is totally lacking in most Sagittarians.

PISCES . . . not good: Sagittarius' energy, curiosity, and scattered interests get on Pisces' self-intent nerves; Sagittarius' enthusiasm for a cause, an idea, or a person, might spur Pisces' helpfulness and sacrifice. Pisces' elu-siveness irritates Sagittarius, and Pisces' invincible selfishness makes Sagittarius impatient, although Pisces has a child-like helplessness, that challenges Sagittarius' generosity and strength.

Thus, Sagittarius mates best with Aries, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

IX — SATELLITIUM IN SAGITTARIUS

In this group we find rulers, physicians, lawyers, sportsmen and sailors.

This is distinctly a sporting sign.

Breezy, "all over the place", with a wish to gamble, and to take a chance.

This is a sign of free-will, which produces many great failures and great successes.

Has a fine physique, like an ancient Viking. Is very cheerful and very humorous.

X CUSPIAN IN SAGITTARIUS

Born November 22 to 30

A reckless squanderer of energy; rarely still, he is always on the go; even when sitting still, his mind quivers with activity, thinking up ideas.

He sleeps restlessly or not at all; he can get along with very little sleep; has vivid dreams and night-mares.

Nothing is more aggravating than a Sagittarian Cus-pian, mentally undisciplined, who will constantly interrupt the flow of conversation with illogical mental spurts and irrational suggestions.

Hastiness and impatience causes many failures.

However, he is popular and beloved, and admired for the charm that radiates from his buoyant personality.

A flaming enthusiasm keeps his mind pliable and young, so that he retains a youthful appearance until a ripe old age.

He is honest, idealistic and loyal; and is very fond of animals.

XI CONCLUSION

This jovial person likes to make people happy, and so he concentrates his life to inspiring others.

He feels great joy in movement, and so enjoys outdoor sports.

He has a strong sense of honor.

He loves decorations, and is fond of rituals and ceremonies.

He is ruggedly built for hard work, but will accomplish the most in mental occupations.

He has a decided "ditto" complex, and so has a tendency to repeat things as they were done before.

He will be very successful if he sticks to one line; but he often fails, because he tries to do too many things at one time
