Fourth Sign of Zodiac.
Cardinal Sign of the Watery Triplicity.
Active Sign of the Maternal Trinity.
A strongly maternal, domestic, home-loving type; very sensitive, and much inclined to complain about mental and physical discomforts; broods over the past, and fears the future.
II — PRECESSION OF THE EQUINOXES
Here Cancer showered the earth with cosmic rays from 8941 to 6784 B. C. This was an emotional war-like period that preceded the Golden Age of Atlantis.
Being a Matriarchal Age, goddesses were worshipped in their religions, and queens were the ruling power of the nations; motherhood was idealized; thus man was considered a necessary drone in the scheme of things. Even armies were made up of women!
The next Cancer Age will not appear until 16,943 to 19,100 A.D.
Ill — NATURE, CHARACTER and PERSONALITY
Cancer is strongly feminine, cold, weak, but tenacious and resistant; strongly maternal.
A day-dreamer, who dearly loves to sleep; she loves her home, family, garden, and the antique; she is intuitive and psychic; she loves trips and excursions.
Her speech is low, quiet, and soulful. Sensitive, domestic, she loves to cook.
Although too easily influenced by friends, she is very distrustful of strangers. Very sensitive to criticism, her feelings are easily hurt.

She has dreamy, protruding, gray or blue eyes; has an egg-shaped head, which is wide between the ears; has a moon-like face, soft, full and pale; the upper eyelids are heavy, the eyebrows high and round; the mouth is strong, with fine full lips; the chin is full and round; the neck, soft and round; the nose is short and concave, the end often split or creased; the ears are large and wide; has plentiful hair, light brown or platinum blonde; the hand is soft and full, with short fingers; is average in height, but inclined to stoutness; has weak joints; her walk is "strolling", quiet, contemplative; her voice is quiet, low and soulful.

SECOND HOUSE ... a good judge of salable products ; can make good money dealing with the public.
THIRD . . . drama is innate; is perfectly at home with relatives.

SEVENTH . . . marriage is an uncertain problem ; wants a mate to "mother" her; has trouble in marriage, due to too much insistence on sentiment.
If the Moon is there ... is good domestically, but small-minded in marriage.
Mercury there . . . always seeking praise from her mate.
Venus . . . can't be trusted when the mate is absent.
Sun . . . tendency to draw away from the mate, but social position saves the marriage.

Saturn ... a hard-working mate.
Uranus ... a hasty marriage, followed by regret.
Neptune ... an unsatisfactory marriage to a slippery character.
EIGHTH . . . interested in psychics: may receive a legacy. Is subject to disorders of the digestive tract, ulcers of the stomach, tumors of the breast, malposition of the uterus, chlorosis, and usually dies of cancer. However, all are avoidable by hygiene and proper diet.
NINTH . . . never so much at home as when away from home; perfectly at home among foreigners.
TENTH . . . the position in life may be insecure, or involve many changes.
ELEVENTH . . . takes a motherly interest in her friends; likes friends in her home; has friendships which are lasting, and often annoying.
TWELFTH ... a day-dreamer, who retires into herself, and weaves in her imagination things which she later puts into action.
VII - HOW CANCER MATES WITH OTHER SIGNS
WITH ARIES . . . doubtful. (See Chapter I, page 13).
TAURUS . . . good, if they respect each other. (See Chapter II, page 21).
GEMINI . . . good. (See Chapter II, page 30).
CANCER . . . can get along together; for both love to "mother", and to be mothered ; one would have to be the "baby"; intellectually, this might pall; but both love home and the kids.
LEO . . . not comfortable. Leo loves pomp and display, while Cancer is all home front. Cancer is thrifty and sensitive, and is hurt by Leo's lack of self-consciousness.
VIRGO . . . satisfactory; both are idealistic, serving, excellent cooks, and love home. Both are self-centered, respect each other, and see eye-to-eye ; Virgo's practical realism likes Cancers' sympathetic mothering.
LIBRA . . . not easy; Cancer is too touchy, and thrifty, and home-loving, to like Libra's free-spending, party-loving nature. It is possible if Cancer is feminine . . . the doting ''mother" of a brilliant beautiful "child".
SCORPIO . . . good; both take life seriously, like responsibility, and concentrate on their narrow sphere together; neither are good mixers, so are content with each other, Cancer leaning on Scorpio's greater self-assurance.
SAGITTARIUS ... not good; get into each other's hair daily, and have no good basis for understanding.
CAPRICORN . .. usually successful; have much in common; both are business-like and efficient. Capricorn's pride and Cancer's sensitive memory may cause trouble at times.
AQUARIUS ... no attraction... Seldom marry.
PISCES . . . very good: have much in common; both are self-centered, dramatic, and are good teachers; Cancer loves to cook for people, and Pisces loves to be cared for. Pisces' generosity complements Cancer's thriftiness. Pisces needs to learn orderliness, for Cancer loves a well-kept house.

X — CUSPIAN IN CANCER
June 22nd to 29th
Hypersensitive, tenacious, moody, imaginative, sentimental. Always remembers an injustice.
Life is still and deep . . . often buries her talents under a bushel.
